Rufus is the protagonist in ‘Headlong’ by Simon Ings. He finds himself caught in a web of deceit and betrayal as he becomes involved with a group of people known as the Headlong who are attempting to escape a decaying Earth. Throughout the story, Rufus is faced with difficult choices and ethical dilemmas as he unravels the true intentions of the group and strives to ensure their survival.
