The Eight-Thousanders by Jason Kuznicki is a collection of linked stories about men and women who have left their human bodies behind, and now live as digitally uploaded minds inside robot bodies. These beings however, do not exist just anywhere – they exist on the highest peaks of earth, the Eight-Thousanders, with the challenges of extreme altitude adding another layer to the central narratives of hope, fear, love, and betrayal.
