Spoonbenders, written by Daryl Gregory, tells the story of the Telemachus family who were once known as psychic phenomena. Each family member possesses a special psychic power but things go downhill when their powers are revealed to be a hoax on national TV. Several years later, they’re brought back together to handle a major government operation. The narrative beautifully takes us through their individual lives and their struggle to control their special abilities.
