Perdido Street Station is a science fiction and fantasy novel set in the sprawling, bustling city of New Crobuzon, a melting pot of different species, cultures, and technologies. The story revolves around Isaac Dan der Grimnebulin, a brilliant but reckless scientist, who becomes involved in a dangerous experiment to help a bird-like species regain its ability to fly.
